2016 Season 1 and round 4 Psycho Nitro Plast 5
Three races has been drived of this SC10 13.5 trucks series. Serie is leaded by Swedish driver Robert Hillman with 230 points, Tony Dugan from USA at second place is 16 points and Lithuanian Arturas Svoba in third place, 35 points behind of Hillman.
This fourth event is raced here in Psycho Nitro Plast 5 track and in the event, its drived in reversed direction.
QUALIFYING
At qualify, second race winner from Bash Pit Short, Sandro Capreira from Brasil was the thoughest in gualify. He wonned the qualify with very tiny 0.4 seconds marging ahead Canadian Robert Sorjonen. To third grid was announced our serie leader Robert Hillman from Sweden, his gap to leader was 2.2 seconds. Sean Krause from Germany, who had changed his driver level from CLUB to PRO after second race, showed magnificent pace and runned to fourth grid, with 4.4second margin to TQ. This result from Sean, proved that he belongs to this level, no doubt.
American talent Colby Waddell got the fifth and Italian Tommaso Andreuccetti got sixth grid.
What was nice to see that these drivers who were going to A main, were all inside in 10 seconds and expectations were high for tight final.
RACE
From the start, serieleader Hillman was ferocious, and immediatly from the tone this Swedish laprobot got the first place. Of course nothing had solved yet as these talents were at first lap. Unfortunent was Andreuccetti who started from sixth grid, coming to first jump, he little pit touched trackmark pipe and losted the balance for jump. By this mistake he dropped to 9th place.
Robert Hillman was on fire once again, his pace was so good and nobody couldnt answer that.
Cabreira was challenging strongly Hillman at lead, but he doned mistake in jump and dropped to 6th position. Now Hillman was back at lead, Sorjonen and Krause competing about second place. After his mistake, Cabreira got his rhytm back very fast and after few corners, he had allready got the fourth place.
End of the first lap, Sorjonen jumped at front of the rostrum and landed on the pipe, and by this Capreira got third place behind Krause.
When these drivers went to fifth lap, Krause at second place had doned nice run and in some point it looked that he is going to challenge our leader Hillman. Was it too much trying or what but unfortunatelly Krause touched the pipe in corner three and allmost flipped his car. But he was lucky and survived from that one. By this cutting, Cabreira got really close behind his tail. Hillman at this point got time to breathe, as those two drivers behind, were fighting against each other. At sixth lap when Krause and Cabreira were coming to corner two, they both did mistake at this corner, and this was pit funny. I dont know how did they survive without marshal, but this was weird. Cabreira was more unfortunate as he was stucked on the pipe and this allowed Sorjonen from fourth place to pass Cabreira. But Cabreira was close and nothing had solved yet.
After five laps Hillman was in lead with 2.6 seconds margin ahead of Krause, Cabreira had passed Sorjonen and was back in third place, 3 seconds behind Krause. But no time, once again in corner two Krause was struggling with that corner. Was it too slow attempt or what, but he losted lot of time there and he also losted his advantage against Cabreira behind. When the last minute started, it was pretty obvious that without mistakes this would be finishline result. Lead was in stable, Hillman, Krause and Cabreira were ones to beat. In last lap, gave to Krause little more heartbeats when he cutted corner five and collided with pipe. He had huge amount of luck that he survived that, as Cabreira was so close behind.
At last lap Sean Krause got more heartbeats cause of this. He was lucky as he survived pretty easily of this.
Hillman drove very consistent and fast run to this final and it wasnt any miracle when he crossed the finishline in first position. Margin to second one, Sean Krause was allmost six seconds.
Sandro Cabreira got third podium place.
Sandro Cabreira came third to finishline, his gap was 0.139 seconds to Krause. Fourth place went to Canadian Robert Sorjonen and fifth place to Tommaso Andreuccetti from Italy. Tommaso had really good run, as we saw his first lap mistake, where he dropped to 9th place.
Tommaso had good battle against Kutvonen, Rössler and Svoba in this final, they were driving side by side all race and that was nice to watch.
In SPORT level race Peter Haaima from Netherlands gave good answer to Indonesian Hijrah Saputra. Finally Hijrah was stronger of this duo and drove to finishline in first position. It looked that Peter could challenge our winner but finally he would needed 0.8 faster average to gain Saputra. Third place went Andreas Hirsch from Germany who got good opponent from Stefan Neuberger from Austria. Stefan also would needed one 10th faster average to challenge Hirsch even more, but honestly, very good race both of these drivers.
In CLUB level we had great battle between two Americans. John Dasch and James Mastroddi were in the battle all seven minutes. Even they both got one bigger mistakes, and these came in very same lap, James was leading all the way up to 8th lap when John passed him. Finally this fantastic battle solved to John`s victory, only with 0.8 second margin ahead of James.
Third place went to Ludovic Corpataux from Switzerland. Ludovic would neede 0.5 seconds fatser average to even challenge those two at front. But very stable and good run from Ludovic.
