After Luxembourg race, serie travelled to Luxembourg. As we saw at Luxembourg`s race that winning from back of the grid was possible. German Benjamin Lehmann did unbeliavable race in earlier event, taking very deserved win starting from seventh grid. So, anything was possible, could he repeat that miracle also here.

STEAM POWERED RACE SERIES, RC EXITEMENT 1
Race of Steam Powered series, Short Course 4wd class was held in here, RC Exitement 1 track.
This track is very technical to offroader, and its not any high speed race, when winner is solved at this track. Of course, speed must be there at the top, but mainly you`ve to beware to use shortest line in here.
QUALIFYING
As the qualifying was over, Swedish offroad talent Robert Hillman was at the top and took TQ with huge one lap distance to Austrian Thomas Rössler. Roberts fastest lap was 15.849 with an average 16.390. Instead Rössler`s fastest 16.219 and his average was 17.009. Italian Erik Bottosso got third spot for theb Final and his pace showed, that he was one second slower in average than our TQ.
After these results we could expect that it was going to be very easy win for Swedish driver, but he needed that run without mistakes.

2016 Season 1 and round 1, Brisbane
Nitro sedan season started from Brisbane track, home of the 2006 IFMAR Worlds 1:10 nitro sedans. Looking the event entry list, there were no doubts that this was going to be magnificent start for the season. As those guys like Rietveld, Wood, Raistrick, Berman, Calaprice and many others, who had joined this event, it was very exiting to wait this fight.
QUALIFYING
In qualify, we saw interesting end. As so many propably thought that multiple Worldchampion, Netherlands Jeffrey Rietveld, would show to others, how this is doned in here. But things were going totally different, because Britains superdriver Simon Wood had came here very furios style. He was like Swiss watch and was setting the pace to others. READY, STEADY, GO for the new season of 1/8 nascar truck ! We are pleased to welcome you here at Cincinnati for the first round.
The Nascar Truck class is very popular on VRC, for many reasons. Firstable, it's well known in the USA as the third division of the Nascar Series. There's a lot of action in the races. And you know what ? It's exactly the same on VRC PRO : a lot of fun, thanks to a fast car with few aerodynamic, so the driving is sometime loose, and always at the limit of grip.
This serie is also famous on VRC PRO, because you've got four rounds to do your run : the free practice, the qualifying, the bump up, and the main final. You've understood : you've got the opportunity to drive a lot, and time enough to learn the track if it's a new one for you.
The last reason is that all the classes, club, sport, pro, are mixed, so it's now or never if you are a club driver to challenge sport or pro drivers.
Let's see now what happened du... read more

Few days after the thrilling 1:8 Sportscars Spec round 2, we come back here at Fort Myers Raceway, for the second round of the 1:8 Sportscars Championship. Remember, during the Spec round we have seen a spectacular fight in sport class between the American experienced driver Robert Yelle, and the french driver Jacques Blanchin, and in pro class between the « Superman » Jeffrey Rietveld and the young french driver Kevin Rasquin. Will it be the same this time in 1:8 sportscars ?
We were also waiting for some pilots that had animated the first round at Boss Speed, like Miquel Hereijqers, Simon Wood, in Pro Class, or Luke Allam in Sport Class, and Johann Jury in Club Class who won last time, but actually, they did not take part of this round.
Fortunately for the show, other great drivers are here today, like in Pro Class, Joshua Berman, Massimo Alliprandi, Alex Guillot, Nuno Correia for exemple. In Sport Class, Klaus Koewenig, who has made a hop... read more

Hi everybody, we are here at Fort Myers Raceway in Florida, where the sun is shinning, the surfers are riding the waves, and girls are so beautiful.
More seriously, it was the second round of the 1:8 nitro sportscars spec championship, where 61 racers came, representing 16 nations, which make each VRC race a real world event !
The track is very fast, but with sharp turns, and a difficult part in front of the rostrum, where you have to turn early before the corner if you want to be fast without touching the unforgiving metal barriers. WELCOME here in Boss Speed (reverse mode), for the first round of the 1:8 nitro sportscars spec championship season 2016, where many things happened !
The track is located in Tokyo, and has already organized big events in real life, like the 2014 JMRCA All Japan Championship 1/10th GP Open Class. The layout is small, technical, and you need to be very precise in your driving if you want to be fast.

The Spec class is famous on VRC PRO, because it's a good way to make the first steps in this driving simulator. Drivers had 7 minutes to show their skills, with a pit stop, knowing that the entry of the pit lane was tricky, because of the two tires made for slowing down the speed of the cars. Young Frenchman Nicolas Loriot has won his first VRC World title after already locking in a 2nd place in Spec class. Victory didn't come easy though. After a terrific start Nicolas jumped away from the field but a few small mistakes brought Peter Knight from the UK right back on his tail. During the 8 minute final Nicolas and Peter tossed places several times and with just 10 seconds on the clockit looked like Peter was going to seal a well deserved win but it wasn't to be. With just 4 corners to go Peter touched a corner marker which threw him of his line. Nicolas who was within striking distance immediately took advantage of the situation, dove inside and took the lead once more. Peter missed out on lap 27 so that was the end of his quest to become VRC World Champion.
The fight for the remaining podium place was fierce as well. On the finish line just 1.6 seconds separated nbr. 3 till 7 with Sports class racer Erik Bottosso from Italy taking 3rd amidst a strong field of Pro racers.

2016 Season 1 and round 1, Carpet 3
1:10 ISTC 13.5 SPEC, Season 1 started from VRC Carpet 3 track. Earlier in this track, modified class started they season. Also in this spec class, miliar names were at the top. Finnish factory driver Viljami Kutvonen who wonned that modified race, was also scary fast with these spec cars.
At qualifying Kutvonen and French Steve Favrelle competed with very tiny differences of TQ.
At the end, TQ went to Kutvonen but only half second faster than Favrelle. Britains gentleman Graham Raistrick was also on the fly, only 1.5seconds behind Kutvonen.
When race started, Kutvonen made little mistake at second corner and Favrelle got the lead. But after few laps driven, Kutvonen got his lead back and battle was ready. Lap by lap these two laprobots continue fighting at lead, until at 10th lap once again at curve compination 2-3, Kutvonen made little mistake ... read more

Round 1 of the 2016 1/8 E-Buggy season kicked off at Buenos Aires in what looks to be one of the most competitive classes to date. All the racers in the pro A main showed tremendous skill and patience and driving at a very competitive race pace. The top 4 drivers were only separated by 10.64 seconds at the end of the race and 5th place through 9th were separated by around 12 seconds. 1st through 4th finished with 17 laps and 5th through 9th finished with 16 laps. Needless to say the Pro A main was close and intense!
Dan Phillion stole the show in the end with consistent lines and excellent throttle control to hit each apex close and score the first victory of the season. Lap after lap Dan was clicking off 41 second laps with few mistakes and trying to hold off stiff competition from Johannes Lamprecht and Kuba Luczak. Dan M... read more

2016 Season 1 and round 1, Carpet 3
1:10 ISTC MODIFIED, Season 1 started from VRC Carpet 3 track. Race was runned in reversed direction. Expectations were high for this start, as we looked the participants list. For example multiple VRC Worldchampion 2015, Netherlands Jeffrey Rietveld was at the lists.
In qualfying we saw how tight this race was going to be. Jeffrey tooked the TQ only by 0.146 seconds away from Finnish supertalent Viljami Kutvonen. Others were close, Graham Raistrick(3rd),Benjamin Lehmann(4th) and Willem Janse van Rensburg(5th) were about 4seconds from the leader. So...we could only wait start of the final.
When the tone horns and cars speed up, Kutvonen and Rietveld took there place at the lead. At lap 2, Jeffrey made little too hungry cut at corner before backstraight and Viljami ran away little.
Margins were very tiny, race was close all the time between these two supermans. Allmost the whole 5 minutes, they battled those ... read more

2016 Season 1 and round 2, Atsugi 2
Season 1 second race was raced at Kyosho works track, Atsugi 2 in Japan.
We saw very tight battle of podium places. This Pro final was fun to watch, as drivers paces were so close each other. French Arthur Brule started from the pole, where he was appointed after very tight qualifying, winning Swedish Andre Fossto only 0.248 margin. Third grid went to Kevin Rasguin from France, losing to the leader about 3 seconds.
When the final started, there was little drama. South African Willem Janse van Rensburg missed the tone at the start, losing 2seconds and this mistake dropped his position to the last.
Also Australian Chris Kalfoglou had some issues at start, maybe he was pit nervous and his car moved a little pit before the tone, but this movement did not give him any penalty. Finally he got very good start for the final. He gained his place to third at... read more
