I started racing with my son and wife in September of 2014. Before racing, I played golf almost daily. I suffered a back injury racing a Grand prix moto. I hit a tree with my face and that was the end of racing and outdoor activities.
The day I bought my first truck, I owned nothing. Not even a hex wrench. I didn't know what a camber link was. I didn't know what a servo was nor a ESC. I simply knew I needed to find something to do that was competitive.
My son gets excited about nothing and this was the same. He lost his first two races but has won every trophy race he has been to except one since. He still doesn't get excited but when he is driving, he wants to win.
Because of a injury and being busy, we have only raced 16 times, ever. Even though I have the money, time and equipment, I have not raced a real race since 2015. My back can not hold up to the long days at the track.
