2017 SEASON 2 1:8 NITRO BUGGY round 5 NEO-9

PRO level

Tom Rinderknecht continued his great performance and was fastest at qualifying, with average 27.08 he was four seconds faster than Jonas Larsson in second place. Behind Larsson, was Corentin Richard and multiple VRC PRO Worldchampion Martin Wollanka. Both, Richard and Wollanka was about 6 seconds away from Rinderknecht`s pace. Alejandro Prieto was fifth and Jonas Dalensjö sixth. They both were 12 seconds from the fastest pace.

As the race started, Rinderknecht was furios. Even Larsson was giving him good pressure in second place, Rinderknecht was getting away slightly with his style. This American youngster was pushing really hard, and was in stable position in the lead. But like many times, when you have worldclass drivers against you, you werent allowed to do any mistakes. As the fifth lap started, Rinderknecht overcutted second corner, touched the pipe and Larsson and Wollanka gained him. And also after few laps, Rinderknecht flipped his car almost in same spot and it was game over for Tom. Larsson and Wollanka were so tough in here, and those mistakes were crucial to Rinderknecht.
So, Wollanka and Larsson solved the highest podiums, and it wasnt any suprise as the multiple VRC PRO Worldchampion Martin Wollanka crossed the line in first place when time was expired.
He had the pace, 27.244 average was something special in 20 minutes final.
Larsson was second, and no doubt Jonas drove fantastic race. He was two 10th`s from Wollanka`s average, and almost 11 seconds behind when race ended. Rinderknecht had to settle to third place after his early mistakes, but all in all great recovery from Tom!

SPORT level

Paplo Lopez won the SPORT level race. Its wasnt easy as Joel Martinsson gave him good pressure at second spot. They had pretty similar pace, but this race was solved with refuelings.
Lopez visited only once in refuel, as Martinsson refueled two times. But all in all, tight battle between these two and despite Martinsson two refuels, gap was only 1 seconds when race ended.
Andy Garcia was third, and had also good pace. He was four seconds away from winner pace.

CLUB level

Nuno Lourenco dominated the CLUB level. He was one lap ahead of Stephane Ethier when race ended. Also Ethier had stable second place, as Ryan Carlyle in third place, was 14 seconds behind him at finishline.

About paintschemes, i was also amazed when i first loaded the replay. Does it have something to do with this track darkness....its easier to see the vehicle.

New information for me...still amused :):).
But have to say, i enjoy greatly to watch these races. So much talent, so much.
And my tiny experience of VRC offroad tracks, i know one jump from SD3 what is called back guite easily.
At left side of the track.
But now im more confident, why onroad is my thing.

Look at Silver Dollar 3... there are two really frustrating jumps there that always get called back. So Pieter is right! On VRC especially, where there's no "human judgement"

well,cutting in the air is a totally different story than cutting on the ground. It's not cheating. Usually it turns out to be minor, not like on Neo14... that's partly due to track design.

Unless specifically disallowed on particular corners, air cuts are totally legal in offroad, and part of the skill and fun. When they want to discourage it in certain places they put cones or fences which makes more sense than just saying not to do it.

one of those corners was cut the same way by everyone at the real Neo14, so it's no big deal.

the other big jump, well in the real world you can break the car so people are more conservative...

anyway the Neo14 track has been around for a long time on VRC and these lines are normal every time we race there...

And Pieter yes, understand perfectly no doubt. You can cut such behaviour that you wont get too much advantage of it. But still, it amuses me. High talented drivers will get something out of it, no doubt.

Ok, that would been my next guestion about that reallife thing, but you were fast Pieter. Understand that its difficult to do lap by lap, and nothing to do with VRC but offroad is cheaters paradise😂😂😂
