Want to see your VRC video clips posted here? Post your video clip on YouTube, send an e-mail to marketing@virtualrc.com with a link to your YouTube clip and your testimonial about VRC and we will see if it is good enough to be posted here. Only the best will make it to the official VRC Video page!

Recording a VRC clip? Easy, just save the replay of any of your runs, practice, daily challenge, race or dual player. You can convert these replays into small video clips and post them on YouTube or save them as a video file!

How? If you have a fast enough computer and a good graphics card then this is really an easy thing to do. The capturing software is called FRAPS and can be downloaded for free for max. 30 seconds recording time but that is long enough for a good 1 or 2 lap video clip.
Set the capturing resolution to half size and 25 fps. With a bit of video editing you can even add some sound or nice graphics to the clip. Next post your clip on YouTube, you have to sign on as a member on YouTube.

Share your VRC video clips with other VRC racers so they can take a look and try to do better! VRC will put up some nice prizes for the best videos (read: most reviewed and best rated...).

Download the free Basic Software Pack. It comes with the free RC Speedway and Oslo tracks, and the VRC Stunt & Drifter Park. After installation, sign up as a VRC member and get going. The RC Speedway you can do with the keyboard, Oslo would probably require a suitable controller, like the VRC USB pistol grip controller or the USB adaptor to control VRC with your own transmitter. MACH Heemstede Netherland 1:8 nitro
by VRC

How real is VRC? See for yourself. This clip shows a comparison between real rc car (left top corner) and virtual car at a lap on the Heemstede track. Astonishing reality in racing lines and cornering speeds!

Laptimes are very, very close to reality on all tracks and this is not a coincidence. All tracks are completely measured including corner angles and elevation drops. Tony West then turns this data into spectacular looking 3D tracks that look and feel exactly like the real tracks. The in-house developed game physics are second to none. Over 6 years of vehicle dynamics development by Todd Wasson has gone into this project. VRC has even commissioned windtunnel tests to the world renown aerodynamics lab of the University of Delft in the Netherlands, and extensive tire tests led by one of the great experts in this field Doug Milliken from the US. RC car technology holds very little secrets to VRC... and Virtual RC Racing is proof of that.

Luxembourg track, 1:8 scale sportscars
by VRC

3 Minutes of VRC with 1:8 scale cars on the Luxembourg track. Some very good overtaking here. The Luxembourg track features the 'cork screw' at the end of the front straight, with a drop of 1 meter and a left-right-left combination! You could be racing this track yourself in just minutes! Download the basic game software and get any of the 3 Basic Game Packs available in the VRC e-shops.

This video shows you different camera views that you can use during replay of a run. Use the F2 key to select 'TV cams' and with F3 you can then select different cameras. With the numeric keys 0-9 you can select any of the cars to be followed by the TV cam. You can even zoom in using the in-game zoom function . Use FRAPS to record your replay while you are in control of the cameras!

JGR Sydney Australia 1:8 nitro
by VRC / Todd Wasson (US)
Music by 'Rockin' Ron St. Angelo

A full lap at the John Grant Raceway in Sydney Australia. Sydney was one of the early tracks in VRC and is still considered one of the most popular!

The car is driven by Todd Wasson, yes the VRC physics developer. Can you imagine that he has never driven a real r/c car before and is right on the pace on this track. At a few occossions he was handed a transmitter on a 'real' track and immediately drove around at impressive pace and with remarkable ease, all learned by using VRC. Without VRC it would have taken Todd at least 2 years and numerous hours on the track (and even more in the workshop...) to reach that level. VRC is a great learning and practice tool, for beginners but also for die-hard racers. Ever thought of the dollar-per-hour cost of virtual compared to real? Pennies against tenth of dollars. VRC is tremendous value for your money, no doubt about it.

Boss Speed Tokyo Japan, 1:8 scale drifter
by Eric Brawley (UK)

2 Laps of spectacular drifting on the Boss Speed track. This video shows how well you can drift with the VRC drifters. This has taken some practice believe me. No doubt working with setup will improve the handling of the drifter. Set up a dual player session with another VRC drifter expert, save the replay and create an even more spectacular door-to-door drifter video. We're happy to post it for you!

This is what Eric said about VRC when asked if VRC was expensive: "This is very much money well spent. They will also have 1:10 Electric and 1:8th off road by the end of the year. A cheap way to improve your driving and car setup without the great expense of crashing cars. I'm 53 and have raced cars for over 25 years, this is wonderful."

Messina track, 1:8 scale sportscars
by Bart Bochenski (US)

3 Minutes at the Messina track with 1:8 scale cars. Member video.

"I created this video several months ago and it is my first. This was a live feed while racing, therefore I have no zoom or other camera angles. I have learned about VRC about a year ago, and it helped me tremendously with driving real rc car. I bought my first rc car 4 months ago, a used Team Losi JRX. I raced my LOSI on Sundays at a track with no prior experience besides VRC. I have taking first place in few mains, and always finished in top five. What can I say - I absolutely love VRC the aspect of racing, the challenge and most important the fun of racing. The ease of getting online head to head racing others VRC racers, I love it. It is definatelly a great product."

Clermont Ferrand France, Melzo Italy, 1:8 scale sportscars
by Laurent Delisle (F)

Training sessions at Clremont Ferrand and Melzo track by one of the top VRC racers of the moment. Member video.

"After a 20 years break in RC racing, I was looking for a RC game witch would be close to the race feeling.. And then I tried VRC. But VRC is more than a sim. I could find the pleasure of a game, and fighting of the competition with a lot of very fast drivers all over the world. VRC helped me to use again a radio control, improving my lines, and my setup. All what you need for improve your real rc driving. Enjoy VRC."
